Guide to Cosma

COSMA VISIONS ORACLE
CONDUCTING A READING
Once you have familiarized yourself with the Cosma Visions Oracle it may be time to put your knowledge to use and begin using the deck in readings. If you are new to tarot this section will give you a good introduction into some popular spreads and some unique to Cosma Visions. When conducting a reading take note of the importance of the Major Arcana cards as well as the relation the cards have with each other and the frequency that a particu- lar suit shows up. For example, if you do a Celtic Cross spread and get a lot of Embers it may be suggesting what you are asking will take a lot of creativity. Following these basic spreads you will find an extensive guide that explores the meanings and imagery behind each card in the Cosma Visions Oracle.

THE VISION
The Vision (or the three card spread) is one of the oldest and most simple tarot spreads. It’s a great place to start for a beginner. The three cards can be used in a variety of different readings. Below you will find three such possibilities for what the cards can represent.
- the past
- the present
- the future
OR
- the situation
- the action
- the outcome
OR
- current position
- aspiration
- the path to take

THE LIFE MAP
The Life Map is a past life based spread and outlines the six major times in a previous life. The first card speaks to your birth, the second card to your early childhood, third card to your adolescence, the fourth card to your adult life, the fifth card to your later life and the sixth card to your death. If at any point a major arcana card shows up this indicates the end of the life. If you pull a major arcana card in the first position this can indicate a short life, one lived to balance your karmic debt, or a life as an animal (little is known about these lives).
Even if you don’t believe in the idea of past lives, The Life Map spread can be an illuminating one that may spark some creativity. It is great for stringing together a story and becoming more practiced with Cosma Visions. (Read the example clockwise starting with The Weaver to decipher which card corresponds with the below numbers)
1. birth
2. childhood
3. adolescence
4. adult
5. old age
6. death
