This week we pulled Temperance from The Oracle of Many Paths. Since this deck is a hybrid deck that incorporates numerology and the significance of paths, we must consider these layers when interpreting the card. This card contains forking, spiraling and ending paths and is linked to the number 5.
This card tells us that our week ahead will be filled with choices, so many possible outcomes that will quickly disorient us if we are not careful. While having the abundance of possibility can be fortuitous, it can also be dizzying. In this card, we see forking paths: union, two options becoming one, or one option becoming two; spiraling paths: avoidance; and ending paths: endings and beginnings. Temperance is a reminder to seek out the perfect path, the balanced path, the one that is not too challenging but not too dull either. If that path does not readily present itself to you, carve your own. 5, after all, is the number of freedom, breaking the cycle and causing significant transformation with nothing more than your own agency. We are sending you off this week with the power to choose wisely.
